So recently i was assigned to write a lovely little thing called a 'career paper'
it was for my 'Intro into the English Major' class
and it was a whopper
five pages, single spaced
plus an educational timeline
seems always seem longer when they are single spaced.
i should have just typed it up to ten pages double spaced, then changed the formatting
anyways, it helped me to learn a lot about what i wanted to do
i mean, English Major, English Teaching major
being an English teacher has always been my generic little plan
but this helped me to see, there are options
people graduate with degrees in the Humanities department all the time, and go on to do crazy awesome things
one thing i would LOVE to do. i mean LOVE.
to work in the church office building.
i found a video on a girl, who works there, and writes articles for the Ensign.
she gets to interview the coolest people and then she gets paid to WRITE about it.
dream job.
right there.
i also learned about a ton of different minors that would be beneficial and that have classes that sound so insanely interesting.
i think i have landed on a communications minor, because that does some journalism stuff, and because all of the advertising and business classes involved seem interesting to me.
but i bounced back and forth between; business management, writing and rhetoric, and dance.
it was a bit of a whirlwind selection as you can tell :)
